The other day I was walking into the grocery store and couldn’t help but notice the gentleman walking past me wearing a tshirt that read “Now is the time to wail til later.” I am not sure if this shirt was meant to be just one of those funny tshirts that people wear like my husband does (He wears them all the time and it drives me crazy!) or if that’s how he truly lives his life.
This month I officially joined the 50’s club! And I gotta say it’s not that bad! Come on in the waters warm lol! I think the hardest part about it for me was coming to grips that I am really 50 years old!
Many people have asked me how it has felt to turn 50 and if I am struggling with the fact that I am now a 50 year old woman.
And my answer each time has been the same. No, I am not upset with turning 50 as it is just a number and age doesn’t define me. 50 doesn’t feel any different than 49, 45 or 42 did. It really is a state of mind!
For me turning 50 is a New Beginning. Instead of focusing on how old I am, I am choosing to focus on what this 50 year old mama CAN DO and how much I can get done to achieve all of my goals!
I am choosing to look at this new decade I just entered into in a very positive light and I look forward to what my 50’s have in store for me. In this new journey in my 50’s I want to take better care of myself physically and mentally. I have bigger goals for myself for this decade and by golly I WILL accomplish it!
Now is NOT the time to wait til later! NOW is the time to get things done! NOW is the time to start taking the action steps necessary to meet your goals. Time is ticking and if you are like me you don’t want to look back on your life with any regrets! You don’t have to wait until you are 30, 40, 50 or whatever age to get started. Get started TODAY! Decide today to break agreement with the bad habits you have formed and any negative thoughts that have been holding you back and go after what you want!
